Hmm.. it appears this blogger, though it could not possibly be more convenient, is starting to grow cobwebs. I thought I’d sit down here every day and get wordy as hell, but it turns out that when you go back to working 8 hours a day (and while at work you are staring at a computer), not only is your life a bit more dull, but you don’t even want to SEE a computer when you get home.
I have a huge ‘To Do’ list running now. Starting a job and getting rid of a car at the same time is rough. Especially when you had no money right up until that point. Since all I’ve done is bitch about those problems and how they took up so much damn time, I’ll quit my bitchin’ right now.
This week Miranda’s Moon was reunited, briefly. We were told by our fearless leader, Takeaway, that we had a show this Saturday. We knew nothing except the date until a couple of days ago, and now we ALSO know what city. So the guy who is trying to hook us up with this show is a promotional/agent/bookie type guy. You’d think, no matter how disorganized this fool is, that by the day before the show you’d want to give the band you’re promoting a time, a location… something. Well, we have none of that, and though Takeaway may have remained confident about it all, even he started to doubt this is going to happen.
The rest of the band finds it hilarious, and wishes Takeaway would take the same approach. Even Humes, who came from freakin’ Minneapolis to play, could care less! A bit more background on this show (hopefully this is not redundant to previous blog entries) .. we were originally told we’d be opening for Lisa Marie Presley. That was a show in August. Then we were told we might be booked to open for Coldplay! They suck nuts, and although it would have been a great opportunity, I’m glad we don’t have to get too near to them.
Ben, if you’re still reading my blog… I’m a fuckin’ idiot. Not only did I have your number in my phone, but you left it for me on my voicemail. I’ll give you a call soon, and I’ve been reading YOUR blog regularly. Sounds like shit’s goin’ well.
Okay, I’ll be back soon with some more commentary, but for now… tide yourself over with THIS—>
