Yesterday I found a really cool thing on the web: a site where you can monitor the air traffic flying over Cleveland. So far you can’t tell where the aircraft is headed, unless it’s taking off or arriving at Cleveland Hopkins. Still, it’s pretty sweet! Check out the link in my sidebar. See if you can find any huge planes cruising above! So far the biggest plane I’ve seen flying overhead is a 747-200… but if you see a 747-400 (B744) let me know. Or an Airbus 340, 342, 343, 345 or 346… they’re big. (If you don’t know an aircraft code, check out this list of ICAO codes.

Apparently, Michael Jackson’s house is being searched by cops right now because yet another kid accused him of abuse! Click here to check it out. That ranch is just too damn suspicious!

Oh Browns… you made my Sunday worthwhile… for once. Totally anihilated the Cardinals. It has been several weeks since I was glad I was drunk at the end of the Browns game. Yesterday, I drank some Red Hook IPA and ate some of our huge bag of peanuts. Fantastic.

On Saturday, I watched the movie: Ju-On: The Grudge, which has a sequel that is not out yet (I think). It is a Japanese horror film, that was pretty scary, but very well done in my opinion.

My amp is back in the shop for the 3rd time. The culprit. This time the guy fixing it is just plain confused. First it was a problem with a couple of tubes and the power amp itself. Then it was just one of the tubes going bad. Now, the only clue is that he forgot to change the fuse when he gave it back to me, and it’s the wrong one. Dammit!!!

Oh man, I almost forgot! Last night, immediately after leaving immigration, we hopped on the highway and clicked the radio back on. My girl suggested no more jazz, since it was putting us to sleep. After one magical button push, we came across WBNY, Buffalo State’s radio station… playing Fat Lenny by Ween.. LIVE! I could barely believe it. Not only did they play live Ween on the radio, but they played Fat Lenny! The guy also played a live Bananas and Blow, and apparently we missed two songs from Quebec that the guy played before that.

I just got some junk mail in my band e-mail account trying to sell me Italian-crafted Rolex’s for $65, with free shipping. Wow! For once, junk mail has come through for me! I ordered 12, so if you are a good friend of mine, you already know what your next birthday present is. Sorry.

Not a whole lot going on today. I need some more sleep, and yet, I have to work tomorrow (yes, that’s Saturday).

The other night, Kenny’s ex told me I looked like Ethan Hawke. I wrote it off as a crock of shit, until I saw this picture:

Ween ROCKED! So much so, that I missed the next day of work! I hope that they felt as great about the show as all of us did. I could tell Gene was a bit pissy, but I really think Deaner was lovin’ it. The setlist hasn’t yet been released, but I know they played a ton of great ones. The highlight for me was Fat Lenny, one of my personal favs, which I was yelling for at every opportunity. I’m certain they heard me! Thanks guys. Insomnia set in as I laid down to sleep. I ended up getting about 15 minutes of sleep, went into work at 10:00, left at 10:20, came home and slept.

The BMV sucked an amazing fifty-four bucks from my wallet yesterday, just for some lousy rectangles of painted metal. I swear that the cost of license plates and BMV fees goes up every fifteen minutes in small increments. Small enough we don’t notice, but not quite big enough to cause an uproar. Well, aside from MY cheap ass uproarin’!

One of the networks finally fessed up to the accusations I’ve been making about them (and all the major networks) for quite some time. I commend thee, for recognizing thine own shite. I have no reason to expect positive change in the future, but kudos for the acknowledgement.

Good news for people who love eating from dumpsters behind fast food restaurants!! Actually, this goes to show you… all you suckers who don’t smoke cigarettes will be kicking yourself in ten years when I’m sporting the cleanest lungs imaginable. I just KNOW they’ll make some kind of lung-scrubbing drugs sometime soon! haha

I took my amp back into the shop yesterday. Normally, when someone pays to have something fixed, they would be furious when it doesn’t work right the next day. In this case, my amp is a ‘69 Ampeg Gemini, with original speakers, and the guy fixing it is probably the best in Cleveland. He explains things so thoroughly that if I don’t mind giving him a few more cracks at it. Not to mention, it’s 30 years old and I’ve never had to repair anything on it until now. Plus, he thinks it’s cool. Gnarly.

Last night I got my amp back from the shop, only to blow two fuses during practice. They’re the same kind of fuses used in cars, so we tried swapping it out, but the same thing happened. The dude at the shop says it’s probably the new tubes… “they tend to blow right away or not at all.” Damn. Gotta take it back.

Benjamin, I’m trying to compile some prospective radio stations to send music to, and I wondered if you’ve discovered anything decent in Chi-town yet. I’m not talkin’ about Clear Channel’s Big Ass Overplayed “Hits” 100.7! Somethin’ slightly indie. (I am putting my e-mail address in the links to the left.)
