I HAD to post this: coaches give middle-schooler a “crybaby award”!!! Amazing!

Here’s my bro, chilling in the garage/woodshop that I spent most of my trip to Indiana in. Ahh the smell of sawdust, the laser-guided mitre saw, the fancy-ass router table we constructed… *sigh*
I’ve been really lacking in many ways lately… most notably in the sleep department. Yesterday I indulged in a post-work nap, which lasted all of 2 1/2 hours, then I slept for another 7. I’m almost certain it’s terminable intitlitis, the same thing that took the life of Ronnie Dobbs. Today I think I’m back on track, though. To celebrate having a good night’s sleep, I ordered this very wort chiller, used in making beer. I’m sure some of you know this, but a wort chiller is essential to make good beer, because if you fail to cool the brew down fast enough, you’ll end up with off-flavors, and perhaps a contamination of some kind. In the past we’ve had brews that got close to cidering, or that had a diacetyl flavor. Not any more baby!!
I think the head-chopping has officially begun here at the office. I just overheard someone saying it was their last day. This is going to be a very strange place to work in the next few weeks… all thanks to our state government, and HRH GW Bush.
That brings me to the utter failure of Bush’s “apology” to Iraqis, which took place just last night. As you may have guessed, apology was in quotes because we all know Bush is unwilling to admit he’s ever made a mistake. Here’s one man’s reaction: Dhurgan Khalid, 21, an art student, said: “I don’t believe what Bush has promised. I don’t believe the people that did this will go to jail. I don’t even believe they will face justice.” Dhurgan my dude, you are so right. Why can you understand this so clearly, and yet my own fellow countrymen can’t even begin to grasp the concept?
Don’t worry about Kerry, he’s already aware of and preparing for the “October Surprise” the Bush cartel is sure to spring on all of us. By October Surprise, I of course am referring to “finding” Osama Bin Laden (read: having Bush call him on his cell phone and ask him to appear to surrender), and also, the possibility of another terror attack. The mere suggestion that Bush and his cronies would play off of a new terror attack in order to gain votes shows not only how insane he is, but that we must think in the very same insane manner he does in order to predict his next move. I’m no fan of Kerry on most matters, but at least he is ready in this regard.
Poll: More now say removing Saddam was not worth the cost. As an extreme liberal, I should be somewhat elated to read this, yet the poll showed that 42 percent still say it WAS worth it. I can’t believe ANYONE, even 0.005%, would say removing Saddam was worth all of this. Well, I can believe it, I just don’t want to. If you are still undecided on this, you may as well get a full color tattoo of Rumsfeld covering your entire freakin’ back. And when they reinstate the draft, I’m so sure you’re still going to feel that way. (Utmost sarcasm.)
Ugh! I am seriously tired today. This weekend was pretty long, and resulted in me missing work on Monday, too. I will post more soon, possibly tomorrow, but I must post two things:
CollegeHumor.com - I know the “premise” indicated by the domain name may come across as too youthful and naive, but look at the Hotlinks! section of the page. The last two sets of Hotlinks! have been a rather bountiful source of cool-ass shit.
Bet you didn’t know that cool-ass was hyphenated.
Oh! I’m proud to say that the Calgary Flames beat the Red Wings last night, 1-0 in overtime! At approximately 1:25am EST, John, Atheir, JoAnn and I lept from our respective chairs and yelled at the top of our lungs as Gelinas scored! I then ran to my room and instantly passed out. That wraps up the series with Detroit, and means that the Flames are even cooler than before… knocking the number one team out of the playoffs when you’re 12th overall is a pretty awesome feat! One more series to go until the run for the Stanley Cup.
