For anyone wondering, I do plan on posting pictures and a video from my Thailand trip, but my gut issues had me out of commission for the past few days. Hopefully this weekend I can find the time to put something together.
The highway collapse out here has really fucked up my evening commute, but they’re saying that the portion of 880 that was damaged may be repaired in 10 days. That’s the portion that I use, so I guess I’m happy to hear it. Apparently the concrete was only slightly damaged from the fire above… but I’ll give y’all the lowdown once I cross the shaky patch itself.
I’ll tell ya what, this Senator Mike Gravel fella is pretty badass. If you haven’t heard of him, he’s a presidential candidate from New Hampshire, and now CNN is going to allow him on their debates, after his solid performance on MSNBC’s debates. In the portion I saw, he was asking some pretty tough questions, and setting some pretty strong examples for the other dems to stand up to. Let’s hope he keeps it up.
Nicodemia informed me that Loose Change 2, the 9-11 conspiracy movie, will be released in theaters in time for the ‘08 elections. Well, to further assist in getting the word out, Virgin Atlantic will be showing the movie on flights as well. I just have to say it… the missle in front of the plane is bullshit, but everything else is intriguing. If prodded, I would probably not stand behind anything 100% EXCEPT for the twin towers being demolished. After seeing every video angle, you just can’t convince me otherwise.
I think we all breathed a collective sigh of relief as the charges were dropped against the man accused of spray-painting the genitals of goats bright orange. The fact that he had porno mags along with him is irrelevant. What this man did was art, pure and simple.
In Japan, a nihilist candidate is stirring up the political scene with outrageous statements like this one: “There is no choice but to abandon this country. Destroy this country now! I don’t have a single constructive proposal!” Just once, the world needs someone like this to hold a position of power. Come on.
The world is walking 10% faster now, possibly out of fear of stalkers, or maybe more people think their shadow is a sentient being. Who knows why? Not me.
Someone actually bothered to create a model of London out of food. Somehow the stuffy royalty and things like ‘Big Ben’ just don’t whet my appetite.
