Luciano Pavarotti has left the earth! Aged 71, the king of all tenors was battling pancreatic cancer, and passed on early Thursday morning. RIP.
Are rich people parasites? Without even skimming this article, YES. But hey, I’m a jerk like that.
Welcome to Washington D.C… (image)
Echanos, you MUST get a shot of the famous sign at Clark and W. 73 that says Do “Not” Block Door … I just came across the “blog” of “unnecessary” quotation marks! I’ll take care of getting it to them, just send me a picture! Oh, how very appropriate.
If you haven’t heard about the eight-year-old Chinese girl who ran 2,212 miles for the Olympics in Beijing, I guess you’ve been hiding in a cave. The story I always hear regarding this is that they think her father is guilty of abuse because he helps her train. Although she may suffer some muscle and growth issues as a result, I heard them interview her and the father on NPR, and she sounded like she just loves to run. Let her run then, dammit.
Some dude made Leonardo Da Vinci out of nails. Very impressive.

Here’s a big-ass collection of environmental photos of America, ranging from 1891-1936. I found out that Ginkgo Biloba grew in Elyria, for example. (Does it still? Hell if I know.)
Radical Honesty may change your life (but honestly, we don’t care). A pretty interesting article about what happens when you’re just brutally honest all the time. Sometimes I wish people were a great deal more honest than they really are, but in this scenario, there’d be no “letting someone down gently”. Could be tough to swallow for a lot of people.
