Meet the&nbsp;<strong>SmartDisk XL<\/strong>, a fully redesigned version of the SmartDisk floppy emulator. It\u2019s built on the same proven firmware, with a stronger board around it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What\u2019s new<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>New PCB design.<\/strong>&nbsp;The board has been redrawn from scratch for the XL.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1.54&#8243; OLED screen.<\/strong>&nbsp;It\u2019s bigger and sharper than before, so disk images and menus are easier to read at a glance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>New routing with a stronger power source.<\/strong>&nbsp;The power path has been reworked to give the board more headroom and more stable operation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Rotary switch.<\/strong>&nbsp;You can scroll through your disk images and select one with a single knob, so navigation is quicker and more natural.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What stays the same<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The SmartDisk XL runs the same firmware as the SmartDisk II, with exactly the same capabilities.
